Abbott Laboratories is a health care company devoted to the discovery and distribution of new diagnostic technologies and medicines around the world. Since October 2009, Abbott has generously donated an i-STAT point-of-care device and cartridges to Nyaya’s laboratory facilities.

AMD and the Open Architecture Network
The Open Architecture Network (OAN) is an online, open-source community dedicated to improving living conditions through innovative and sustainable design. Nyaya Health won the 2008 AMD Open Architecture Design Challenge in the Asia section, out of a total of 115 entrants. Max Fordham LLC designed a telemedicine center for Nyaya Health through this competition.

America Nepal Medical Foundation (ANMF)
ANMF is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening Nepal’s medical capabilities through infrastructure building, training of health workers, and the provision of healthcare to Nepal’s most vulnerable and impoverished citizens. ANMF has supported Nyaya through the training of community health workers and expansion of Nyaya’s obstetric services in Achham.

Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) is a teaching hospital of Harvard University in Boston, Massachussetts. BWH, through its Martin P. Solomon Scholarship Fund, has provided support to Nyaya Health’s community health workers program. Additionally, through its Division of Global Health Equity (GHE), BWH has supported Nyaya Co-Founder and President, Dr. Duncan Maru, who serves as a GHE Fellow. The GHE Divison has also supported other Nyaya volunteer team members.

Buddha Air is a domestic airline based in Kathmandu, Nepal serving 9 large towns and cities throughout Nepal. Buddha Air provides free shipping for Nyaya Health.

Center for Surgery and Public Health
The Center for Surgery and Public Health (CSPH) was developed in partnership with the Harvard Medical School, School of Public Health, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2005, to work to enhance surgical services domestically and globally. CSPH partnered with Nyaya in 2009 and has since offered advisory and technical support as Nyaya develops surgical services in Achham.

Cents of Relief endeavors to allow vulnerable populations, particularly women in prostitution and their children, access to healthcare and prevention from human trafficking. Cents of Relief donated money to assist with anti-human-trafficking activities in the area.

Child Health Foundation is a non-profit, public charity that works to prevent and treat life-threatening communicable diseases of infants and children in developing countries. Funds provided by The Child Health Foundation are being used to combat childhood malnutrition in Achham.

Children’s Hospital Boston is a 396-bed comprehensive center for pediatric health care. As one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the United States, Children’s offers a complete range of health care services for children from birth through 21 years of age. Through Children’s, the Dr. Frederick Lovejoy Research and Education Award has been awarded to support a mortality and morbidity review program that Nyaya has been piloting at Bayalpata Hospital as one prong of Nyaya’s broader transparency and accountability strategy.

CIWEC Clinic (Menlha Nursing Home)
The CIWEC Clinic Travel Medicine Centre was established in 1982 in Kathmandu. CIWEC participates in the global surveillance program for emerging diseases among travelers and further serves as a Family Practice Centre for the resident foreign and Nepalese communities. The CIWEC clinic and Dr. Prativa Pandey, CIWEC’s Medical Director, have been long-time supporters of Nyaya’s work.

The Daily Grommet is an online marketplace for new and innovative products. Daily Grommet features Nyaya as one of their Charity Organizations and continues to support our work.

The Daya Foundation was created to honor Mr. Dayaram B. Mathema’s dream to uplift health, education, and culture in Nepal. Mr. Mathema was a philanthropist, diplomat, and businessman who had a desire to help those in need. The Foundation has generously provided our clinicians with new delivery sets in order to provider safer and higher quality deliveries at Bayalpata Hospital.

The Ella Lyman Cabot Trust works to assist individuals at critical points in their lives pursue new work and projects. The Ella Lyman Cabot Trust has generously donated money to Nyaya Health for the development of a Women’s Center in collaboration with Architecture for Humanity Boston.
EquityEditors Association (EEA) is a network of socially-conscious medical, scientific, and technical editors who leverage their writing skills to help finance innovative solutions to global health problems. Equity Edit continues to provide financial support for clinical services in Achham.

The Ford Foundation’s goals are to strengthen democratic values, reduce poverty and injustice, promote international cooperation and advance human achievement. The Ford Foundation was one of the initial supporters of Nyaya Health, providing critical seed funding to jumpstart our clinical work in Nepal.

Google Grants is a unique in-kind donation program awarding free AdWords advertising to select charitable organizations.

Since 2009, Nyaya has been a formal partner with the MOHP. Nyaya currently operates the Bayalpata Hospital in partnership with the MOHP. The MOHP has been a critical supporter of our work and will ultimately take over full administration of our operations at the culmination of a 5 year contract.

The NEWAID Foundation provides research funding to public health students, encouraging their involvement with traditionally neglected infectious diseases in the developing world. Two Nyaya Health volunteers received funding from NewAID on community-based tuberculosis control initiatives.

The Nick Simons Foundation (NSF) has supported Nyaya since 2010. Most recently NSF committed a $75,000 matching gift and an additional $25,000 donation for expansion of surgical services at Bayalpata Hospital. The Foundation’s main grantee is the Nick Simons Institute, an Nepali organization with a mission to improve the quality of health care services, especially in rural areas. In 2010, NSF launched the UAM Global Project, an initiative to improve access to anaesthesia services in low resource settings. To date, four Universal Anaesthesia Machines (UAMs) have been donated to hospitals in Nepal.

Partners Healthcare is an integrated healthcare system in Boston, Massachussetts. Partners Healthcare’s Center of Expertise in Quality and Patient Safety has provided support to Nyaya’s innovative Mortality and Morbidity Conference Program.

Partners in Health is a not for profit US based health care organization supporting the poor by providing free healthcare in Haiti, Peru, Russia, Rwanda, Lesotho and Malawi. PIH supports Nyaya Health and its activities.

QBC Diagnostics, Inc. are focused on providing innovative solutions through diagnostic and laboratory equipment. QBC has donated an automated haematology analyzer to Nyaya to provide accurate blood reports for efficient treatment.

Quidel Corporation researches and develops point-of-care, rapid diagnostic tests with emphasis on infectious diseases and reproductive health. Quidel has kindly donated multiple diagnostic tests to Nyaya including tests for chlamydia, H. pylori, Streptococcus A, RSV, fecal occult blood tests, and urine HCG tests.

Singapore Internet Research Center
SIRCA’s goal is to be a premier Asian research institute on the Internet, and bring Asian experiences and perspectives to the global discussion about the development, impact, and potential of the Internet, and to conduct and promote broad-based high-quality multidisciplinary research in Internet development, e-services, new media use and social impact, and policy for the benefit and advancement of individuals, organizations, nation and society. The SIRCA grant has been used to research information and communications technology in Nyaya’s work.

Skydda is one of the leading suppliers of solutions and equipment for personal protection in the Nordic region. Nyaya Health is grateful for Skydda’s product donations to Bayalpata Hospital to improve the protection and safety of our staff members.

Still Harbor is a non-profit organization working to support and accompany both individuals and organizations as they develop. Nyaya is a member of Still Harbor’s Praxis Network which aims to accompany global health organizations as they grown and encourage collaboration.

Ten Friends is a registered US-based non-profit organization, founded by two school teachers living in the state of Oregon. Over the period of its operation in Nepal, Ten Friends has been involved with a variety of programs, such as distributing light-weight stretchers to remote locations with poor health infrastructure, creating water purification systems in orphanages, and building libraries in rural villages. Nyaya Health is grateful to Ten Friends for the generous donation of three light-weight patient stretchers, for use in Bayalpata Hospital’s catchment area.

The Hunger Site funds food for some of the world’s neediest people. This site has fundraised for Nyaya by supporting internet access and investing in human resources in Achham.

The International Foundation exists to help people of the developing world in their endeavors to solve some of their problems, to attain a better standard of living and to obtain a reasonable degree of self-sufficiency. The International Foundation offered Nyaya some of its first funds to scale up primary-care services in Achham.

The Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation
The Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation (SDRF) is a family foundation based in New York City. SDRF’s three main areas of activity are: Arts and Culture, Health and Human Services, and Civil Liberty and Social Justice. SDRF has supported Nyaya for over three years.

Until There’s a Cure Foundation
Until There’s a Cure is a non-profit organization that raises funds to support awareness programs and services for those living with AIDS. Until There’s a Cure provided funding for Nyaya to scale up its community health worker program.

UpToDate is an online clinical reference software, commonly used in many American teaching hospitals, but rarely accessible in the developing world. UpToDate has teamed up with the Global Health Delivery Project to provide free subscriptions to journal articles to Nyaya and other health facilities around the developing world.

The late William Prusoff was a professor of Pharmacology and Senior Research Scientist at Yale University. Among other scientific accomplishments, he was one of the inventors of the anti-HIV drug d4T (stavudine), which has played a critical role in stemming the epidemic worldwide. His foundation was one of the initial seed funders of Nyaya Health and has continued to support the expansion of HIV care in Far-Western Nepal through Nyaya Health.

Yale University is a private research university in New Haven, Connecticut, and a member of the Ivy League. Yale Office of New Haven & State Affairs have made a donation to Nyaya Health as the initial seed money to start the clinic and received a grant through a Yale Entrepreneurial Contest.
